It also identifies facilitators that can help overcome these barriers, in an effort to help community-based organizations, including AIDS service organizations, to better understand the employment needs of their clients and to identify gaps in service provision and systems level action.

Fact Sheet for Employers: This fact sheet provides an overview of the different workplace barriers that can hinder an employee living with HIV/AIDS from working to his or her full potential. It also identifies facilitators that can help overcome these barriers, in an effort to help employers to retain qualified, experienced staff, and build a healthy, diverse and productive workplace.

Fact Sheet for Those Engaged in Policy Work: This fact sheet provides an overview of the different barriers that can hinder a person living with HIV/AIDS from entering or remaining in the labour force. It also identifies facilitators that can help overcome these barriers, in an effort to help policy-makers at all levels to better identify and understand the gaps in relevant legislation and policy.

Workplace Surveys
