Research Priorities

Rehabilitation in HIV care is a relatively new field and existing research into best practices is limited. CWGHR is currently leading a two-year research project to:

  • identify key research priorities in the area of rehabilitation policy and clinical practice, and
  • develop a set of guiding principles for the development of best practice guidelines for rehabilitation in the context of HIV/AIDS.

The project will develop recommendations based on a literature review and a series of focus groups and interviews with key informants, including: people with HIV, researchers, educators, clinicians and policy makers. The project is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
