People living with HIV are living longer, and may be living with impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions due to HIV and/or its associated treatments.

This two-day course will enhance and increase the capacity of rehabilitation professionals to respond to the rehabilitation needs of people living with HIV and provides a meaningful foundation for community building with local AIDS service organizations.

Day one of the course will focus on presentations and interactive discussions emphasizing interprofessional and case-based learning principles facilitated by persons living with HIV and rehabilitation professionals experienced in HIV care, treatment and support.

Day two will be hosted in partnership with Nine Circles Community Health Centre, a community based centre specializing in HIV prevention and care. Discussion will focus on developing links between sectors to better understand the long term episodic nature of HIV, drawing parallels with other similar conditions and increasing our capacity to improve programs.

Participants are welcome to attend both or either day.
